Position Requirements All tutors work after‑school and evening hours (3:00 pm – 8:00 pm) and some Saturdays (9:00 am – 1:00 pm). A commitment through the school year—and ideally through summer—is preferred. This is an in‑person role; online instruction is not offered. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory. You must be able to commute to our North York location. Your dedication and reliability are essential. Schedule Evenings (Monday–Thursday) Saturday availability (9:00 am–1:00 pm) Compensation $18 – $20 per hour. Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field Senior university students with extensive tutoring experience considered Teaching certification is an asset Strong knowledge of Grades 9–12 math and science curriculum, including Advanced Functions, algebra, trigonometry, calculus, vectors, physics, chemistry, and biology Experience Teaching/tutoring math and science at Grade 9–12 (or equivalent) Strong written and oral English communication skills Excellent math skills and ability to guide students’ understanding Ability to multitask with up to four students simultaneously Responsibilities Teach up to four students at a time at various levels Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies Fill in post‑lesson notes and complete daily student communication updates Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times Benefits Fun staff events Ongoing training opportunities Frequent check‑ins and feedback Company growth opportunities Hands‑on development of your teaching skills About Oxford Learning Oxford Learning is a Canadian supplemental education provider helping students get better grades since 1984.
