About the position Haywood Securities is currently seeking a Desktop Publisher / Editor to join its Equity Research team in the Toronto office for a 1-year contract. The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate their editing and publishing skills in a time-sensitive environment. Responsibilities include: Format, edit, proofread and electronically distribute research publications Work closely with Analysts, Associates, and Supervisory Analyst/Head of Research to ensure highest quality of publications Maintain database of all publications for the Research Department Maintain and update company website daily with publications Publish Research reports to electronic services (Blue Matrix, Bloomberg, etc.) Ensure all compliance standards are met and disclosures and DISCLAIMERS are included in all publications Requirements: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong PC skills, namely in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) Commitment to timelines and attention to detail is crucial Strong time management skills and working in time-sensitive environment for multiple analysts Self-starter able to work independently as well as in team settings Basic understanding of financial markets Why Haywood Haywood understands that its greatest strength lies in our skilled and dedicated employees.
