Physiological mechanisms underlying pathologies related to these systems will be explored. Additionally, scientific racism will be discussed, including examples relevant to the physiological topics covered and with a view to considering anti-oppressive practices in physiology. In conjunction with KPE260H1, this course will be of interest to those applying to second entry health sciences programmes and/or those wishing to extend their foundational knowledge of human physiology. Estimated TA support: 2 TA @ 70 hrs = 140 hrs Estimated course enrolment: 100 Class schedule T 9:30-12:30 R 9:30-12:30 Appointment details Sessional dates of appointment: May 1, 2026 - June 30, 2026 Appointment percentage: 0.5 FCE Salary Sessional Lecturer I - $9,820.70 Sessional Lecturer I – Long Term - $10,510.04 Sessional Lecturer II - $10,510.04 Sessional Lecturer II – Long Term - $10,760.28 Sessional Lecturer III - $10,760.28 Sessional Lecturer III – Long Term - $11,030.35 Minimum Qualifications PhD preferred in a relevant area, or combination of relevant expertise and experience. Teaching experience in college or university setting is an asset. Description of duties All duties associated with the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content Development, administration, and marking of assignments, tests, and exams Calculation and submission of grades Holding regular office hours Supervising TAs assigned to the course, if applicable This course will be taught in a hybrid format.
