Your organizational skills will enable you to direct the work of junior staff, including reviewing their work for accuracy and completeness. Additionally, you will research and prepare tax-planning strategies for our clients and take the lead on the preparation of tax returns. You enjoy the spotlight and set the standard for junior staff by providing ongoing support and opportunities for professional development.What you will doLead small and medium-sized client engagementsWork closely with other members of our team as a senior team member on tax planning work for clientsPlan and organize teams for the preparation of tax returns and conduct and present tax researchAdvise on planning opportunities, tax minimization strategies, and compliance issuesReview the work of junior staff for accuracy and completenessBecome part of the tax engagement team in servicing the planning and compliance needs of clientsProvide ongoing support and mentoring for the professional development of staffWhat you bring to the roleMinimum 5 years specializing in Tax in a public accounting firmProfessional Accounting DesignationCompletion of the In-Depth Tax CourseExcellent leadership and people management skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to research and write utilizing electronic tax toolsAbility to manage conflicting demands and prioritiesStrong project management and organizational skillsKPMG BC Region Pay Range InformationThe expected base salary range for this position is $97,500 to $151,000and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications.
