Architecture49 Inc. is seeking technically-savvy and dynamic Senior Architectural Technologists to join our team located at our Thunder Bay office.

Architecture49 maintains a strategic business relationship with WSP, a global engineering consultancy. This provides enhanced opportunities for exposure to International projects and a wide range of multidisciplinary expertise. Further, WSP provides Architecture49 with a range of shared services, such as comprehensive benefits, training, and corporate programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Producing technical design and contract documents in compliance with Owner’s Statement of Requirements, in collaboration with project teams
  • Working with senior team members to validate that designs and deliverables conform to technical guidelines, code requirements and regulations
  • Provide technical design solutions for facility construction including interior and exterior assemblies
  • Coordinating with project sub-consultants
  • Providing technical mentoring and leadership to less experienced technical staff
  • Assisting with contract administration
  • Performing all other related tasks that will help accomplish the project

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree or diploma in architectural and building technology from an accredited North American technical college.
  • 8+ years’ working as an Architectural Technologist for a North American Architectural consulting firm or Architecture Practice.
  • Passion for the built environment, critical thought, personal organization, accountability, self-motivation, collaboration, attention to detail, written and spoken English proficiency, and altruistic disposition.
  • Demonstrated substantial product knowledge, and an ability to detail architectural building systems.
  • Preference given to candidates with:
    • Understanding of BIM principles & workflows.
    • REVIT software experience.
    • AutoCAD software experience.
    • Microsoft Office experience.
    • SketchUp experience.
    • Construction site experience.
  • Written and spoken English proficiency. French in addition would be an asset.
