In this position you will be responsible for the project management on urban transit and mobility projects including LRT, BRT, Systems and Systems Integration, Rolling Stock, Transportation buildings and other aspects of integrated urban mobility projects. You will support growth initiatives through establishing and building client relationships in the transportation sector, support the development of junior and intermediate staff, and contribute to Mott MacDonald’s commitment to excellence.Key responsibilities will include:Planning, organizing, coordinating, and working with technical and management groups in the delivery of a range of transit and urban mobility projects including Systems Engineering and Systems Integration, Rolling Stock and Transit InfrastructureUndertaking project, commercial, and client management such as:Leading and supporting teams of engineers and technicians to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfactionCoordinating with clients, stakeholders, and project team members to ensure project goals and objectives are metCoordinating with other engineering disciplines managing project staff and subconsultants to keep projects on budget and schedule and within agreed upon scopeLeading and mentoring project team(s) of exemplary professionals focused on transit and urban mobilitySupportingthe development of proposal responsesBeing accountable for compliance with internal performance metricsMaintaining industry knowledge of current standards and proceduresUndertaking a ‘digital by default’ approach in deliverablesActing as a role model and ambassador for Mott MacDonald, articulating and representing our brand, vision, and value proposition internally and externallyNurturing an innovative, challenging, collaborative and high performing work environment, which supports the use of digital tools and technology and fosters the Mott MacDonald values and cultureWe’re looking for an individual to join our team to continue this traction and invite applications from candidates with:PMP or related designation is a benefit but not requiredRegistered Professional Engineer in good standing is preferred but not requiredMinimum 7 yearsof industry experience in the transit, rail systems or other transportation sector contributing to urban mobilityEstablished relationships with key client organizations in the western Canadian marketExperience overseeing design and management of transit and urban mobility projects including Systems Engineering and Systems Integration, Rolling Stock and Transit InfrastructureWell developed writing and verbal communications skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.Knowledge and understanding of industry project life cycle and procurement modelsMust be familiar with relevant industry standards and design criteriaAbility to build and harbor good working relationships with our business partners, suppliers, contractors, and clientsDesire and flexibility to travelIncorporates health, safety and wellbeing in all that you doAbility to work in a team environmentOur teams are comprised of bright and enthusiastic people who wish to make a difference to the world that we live in.
