This interdisciplinary project focuses on the development of advanced soft sensors for soft robotic systems, combining expertise in materials, mechanics, electronics, and embedded systems. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, fabrication, and integration of soft sensors capable of detecting deformation, pressure, and other physical stimuli in soft robotic structures. The work will span material innovation, sensor architecture design, and signal processing, with applications in soft robotics such as wearable robotics, biomedical devices, and adaptive systems. Please note that this is not an M.A.Sc. position. Qualifications Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Some background in direct printing of mater ics , sensor design,electronics, embedded systems. Experience with prototyping, experimental testing, and data analysis. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
