Raytheon ELCAN designs various optical and opto-electronic system, modules and sub-modules operating in different wavebands, with particular emphasis on infrared and visible systems. We are a vertically integrated manufacturing facility, with research, design, procurement and manufacturing teams pressing novel technologies in the Aerospace & Defense Markets.

Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Drafting mechanical and electrical schematics
  2. Creating and maintaining required documentation
  3. Devising and executing validation procedures for existing and new optical/electrical test equipment
  4. Efficiently prioritize, organize and execute on given tasks
  5. Well-developed written and communication skills; interfacing with product development teams
  6. Preparing reports and proficient in technical writing
  7. Supporting active projects working with other team members
  8. Opportunity to gain soldering and microcontroller programming experience
Qualifications & Experience:

Current enrollment in post-secondary education preferable with Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering background

Proficient user in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook

Proficient in creating and reading mechanical/electrical schematics

Hands on experience working with design software to create mechanical models, drawings and assembly drawings; Autodesk Inventor experience preferred

Experience using mechanical test lab equipment to support execution of test plans

Must be a highly motivated self-starter and can work independently towards task completion

Ability to be adaptive and take initiative

Work with a dynamic group of electrical, optical, mechanical designers
