HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT Lead and support projects that foster curiosity, creativity, and engagement across diverse audiences Build and nurture meaningful connections between ROM’s collections and communities, driving impactful programs, exhibitions, and educational initiatives Provide exceptional visitor experiences through collaborative teamwork and a customer-first approach Contribute to strategic initiatives and operational excellence across departments, aligning efforts with ROM’s mission and values Advance innovation through research, data-driven decision-making, and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders WHAT YOU BRING A passion for art, culture, and nature, with the ability to motivate and inspire others Experience in fields such as research, museum studies, art and culture, natural history, business operations, or education Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and foster collaborative relationships A commitment to diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion in all interactions and programs Proven project management, problem-solving, and organizational abilities Proficiency with technology relevant to your field (e.g., MS Office, CRM platforms, collections management systems) WHAT WE OFFER All perks and benefits are role-dependent and based on employment type (e.g., full-time permanent or contracts exceeding one year). Part-time employees may also participate in the plan on an optional basis Support for new parents: Enjoy a parental leave top-up to 95 percent of your salary for 17 weeks, helping you balance work and family life depending on the position Perks: Free ROM membership for permanent part-time and full-time, plus discounts to over 200 attractions through Attractions Ontario And more TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full-time or Part-time, Permanent or Contract (based on role availability) SCHEDULE: Full-time: 35 hours weekly Part-time: Up to 24 hours weekly, with possible evening, weekend, and peak-period shifts, depending on the role LOCATION: Toronto, ON (flexible onsite and hybrid opportunities available) POSTING TYPE: This posting is to develop a pool of candidates for future opportunities (not a current vacancy) WHAT TO EXPECT IN OUR INTERVIEW PROCESS Initial conversation: A 30-minute virtual conversation with a Recruiter to discuss your interest in a specific role and ROM and how you can make an impact First interview: A 1-hour in-person or virtual interview with the Hiring Manager and a member of the HR team. This in-depth interview will focus on your skills and how they align with the team’s and ROM’s needs Second interview: A 1-hour in-person meeting with the Hiring Manager and relevant team members. You may be asked to present a pre-assigned case study and discuss scenarios relevant to your role. Depending on the position, you might also be given a tour of ROM and receive a preview of your responsibilities and interactions Third Interview: a final interview with key stakeholders The above-listed process may change or vary based on the nature and scope of the position. All virtual conversations and interviews will be conducted via Microsoft Teams and may be recorded.
