Overview Do you have a passion for nursing? We have the position for you We are seeking a motivated Licensed Practical Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at Stuart Lake Hospital. Responsibilities Under the direction of the Unit/Program Manager or designate and in collaboration as a member of a multidisciplinary team, performs assessments, plans and provides personal care, and performs nursing procedures. The LPN functions in accordance with the competency guidelines and scope of practice within the Standards of Practice as outlined by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives and according to agency operating policies and standards and unit specific protocols. Qualifications Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – current registration/licensure in British Columbia. ER experience or training is an asset. About the facility Nats’oojeh Hospital and Health Centre is a new state-of-the-art facility three times the size of the previous hospital with 27 beds (18 long-term care and 9 acute-care beds). It features an expanded emergency department, larger laboratory and diagnostic imaging spaces, and has been designed to be welcoming to everyone, reflecting local Indigenous culture. The new facility provides culturally safe care for residents of Fort St. James, surrounding areas, and local Indigenous communities. Services Provided Emergency Care Acute Care Complex Care Laboratory X-ray Primary Care Location Fort St. James, British Columbia, Canada — located on the southeast shore of Stuart Lake. The district has a population of about 4,500 and is a scenic gateway to a 300 km network of lakes and rivers, with nearby forestry, mining and tourism industries. Fort St. James is well serviced and offers access to housing and city amenities.
