The role oversees program strategy, stakeholder engagement, resource planning, and operational execution, ensuring adherence to standards, regulations, and industry best practices.Key AccountabilitiesLead SCOP, Technical, and CANIAC programs, ensuring objectives, timelines, and budgets are met while maintaining high‑quality standards.Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and industry stakeholders.Track program progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.Ensure adherence to governance, compliance, and quality standards, providing regular updates and reporting to senior leadership.General ResponsibilitiesDefine program scope, objectives, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.Coordinate cross‑functional teams to execute program activities effectively.Manage budgets, schedules, and resources to deliver milestones on time.Prepare and present reports, briefings, and presentations for internal and external audiences.Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.Support the development of policies, procedures, and standards for program management.Act as the primary point of contact for program‑related inquiries.Facilitate workshops, meetings, and industry engagements.Ensure accurate documentation of program activities, lessons learned, and knowledge sharing.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.Project management certification such as PMP or PgMP is preferred.ISO 9001 or NQA‑1 Lead Auditor training is an asset.Strong knowledge of CANDU nuclear power plant design and operation.Knowledge of obsolescence management, engineering change controls, and nuclear component procurement.Understanding of QA principles and Canadian/International standards (CSA N299, N286, N286.7; ASME NQA‑1, ASME BPV Code Section III: Subsection NCA).Familiarity with auditing management systems (ISO 19011).Knowledge of project management methods, procedures, and organizational structures.Familiarity with CANDU NPPs, major suppliers, and nuclear organizations in Canada.Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering or procurement project management within a nuclear utility or engineering organization.Minimum 3 years of experience in direct or supportive audit functions for oversight of the CANIAC program.Demonstrated understanding of relationships among design, engineering, operation, maintenance, and supply‑chain activities in nuclear generating stations.CompetenciesLeadership & Team Management – ability to lead cross‑functional teams, motivate staff, and drive results.Strategic Thinking – align program objectives with organizational priorities and long‑term goals.Stakeholder Management – build relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.Project & Program Management – expertise in planning, executing, and monitoring complex programs.Risk Management & Problem Solving – identify risks, anticipate challenges, and implement mitigation strategies.Technical Knowledge – in-depth understanding of nuclear engineering, supply chain, obsolescence management, and QA standards.Communication & Reporting – excellent verbal and written communication skills.Governance & Compliance – knowledge of regulatory requirements, audit principles, and organizational policies.Success Indicators/KPIsSuccessful delivery of SCOP, Technical, and CANIAC program objectives on time and within budget.Effective collaboration with stakeholders, resulting in strong program support.Timely identification and mitigation of program risks and issues.High‑quality documentation, knowledge transfer, and compliance with governance standards.Positive feedback from leadership, project teams, and stakeholders.Continuous improvement in processes, tools, and workflows.Demonstrated ability to build a cohesive and high‑performing team environment.Work EnvironmentThis role is based at the Conexus office in Toronto with the opportunity to work remotely 1‑3 days per week.Core ValuesActing with respect, transparency, and commitment in all relationships and decisions.Fostering connection, trust, and shared success across borders, disciplines, and perspectives.Driving forward‑thinking solutions and accelerating advancements that shape the future of nuclear energy.Delivering exceptional results and value to advance a clean energy future.Adapting and evolving to meet challenges and realize opportunities in a dynamic global landscape.Benefits & PayConexus offers a competitive pay and benefits program including a pension plan, annual health spending account, fitness subsidies, life, health, dental, disability insurance, and flexible work programmes.EEO StatementConexus is recognized as a diversity champion in our sector, especially for women in engineering.
