Our client is a Toronto-based GCP consulting company that is focused on helping a variety of businesses through cloud-based solutions. They are growing their team and are looking for a passionate Data Engineering Manager/Lead to continue to guide them to success.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of data engineers in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure for clients. This role requires strong technical expertise in data engineering, excellent leadership abilities, and a proven track record of delivering successful data projects.

Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and coach a team of data engineers to ensure high-performance and professional development
Work on end-to-end processes from design to production with a willingness and readiness to be hands-on and develop code themselves
Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
Take on new challenges with a problem-solving mentality

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of experience in software development/data engineering with a focus on designing and implementing scalable data solutions
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka)
Excellent collaboration and communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with clients and stakeholders
