We are currently seeking Heavy Duty Tractor Mechanic to join our team in our Winnipeg Terminal.Reporting to the Maintenance Foreman, this position is responsible for all types of routine maintenance on our Tractor fleet.Duties And ResponsibilitiesPerform preventative maintenance checks and servicingComplete electrical, interior, air brake system, tire, body repairs and welding as requiredFacilitate safety inspectionsRepair/replace equipment when appropriateAssess equipment to see if they require to be sent out for repairRecognize and report faults or malfunctions on all company equipmentCoordinate with other maintenance staff and the terminal to determine priorities for equipment repairQualificationsRed Seal or an apprentice at any level or willing to enroll in apprenticeship programHigh school diploma with minimum of 2 years’ working experienceBasic set of hand tools requiredOrganizational, Interpersonal, and communication skillsStrong work ethic, to work independently and within teamA wide array of knowledge and experience with toolsFamiliar with the latest vehicle diagnostic equipmentExperience in preventative maintenance including electrical, interior, air brake, tire, and body maintenanceBenefits & PerksManitoba’s Largest Trucking Company35 Terminals across North AmericaCompetitive compensationComprehensive group health benefitsCompany Matched Pension PlanProfit Share ProgramTHIS IS A CONTINENTAL FRIDAY TO SUNDAY SHIFT –36 HOURS OF WORK BUT WILL BE PAID FOR 40 HOURS, WITH A $5 SHIFT PREMIUM.At Gardewine, we are committed to continually improving our approach to building a diverse, inclusive, and value driven workplace.
