As the Senior Manager of Patent Operations, you will report directly to the Director of Intellectual Property Operations and lead a national team. This role requires extensive knowledge of patent prosecution and the ability to mentor staff towards high performance. Contribute to strategic initiatives and enhance service delivery in a client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities: • Provide operational leadership for patent prosecution services • Develop and mentor the patent prosecution support team • Establish and enhance patent prosecution workflows • Collaborate with Intellectual Property professionals for optimal support • Oversee workforce planning and employee development
Requirements: • University degree or college diploma in a related field • Minimum 12 years of Intellectual Property support experience • At least 8 years of leadership experience in a managerial role • Strong knowledge of patent prosecution practices • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Inprotech is an asset
