Assistant Store Manager

Our retail Assistant Store Manager (ASM) is vital to delivering a distinctive shopping experience. The ASM collaborates with the Store Manager and company management to manage, maintain, and supervise day‑to‑day retail operations at the store location. Responsibilities \Motivate and inspire team members to be positive, friendly, knowledgeable, and hardworking. Support SM and team members and provide positive and constructive feedback for professional growth. Assist SM with all work procedures and policies so that everyone understands what is required. Follow written SOPs as policy and/or regulation changes occur and ensure compliance among team. Be accessible and responsive to all team member questions, suggestions, and concerns and help resolve any conflicts. Lead by example and work with staff to handle any circumstances that may arise in a high‑volume retail store. Utilize customer and team member feedback to implement changes that improve the customer experience. Track all employee and store sales daily to ensure optimal performance. Maintain store compliance with all local, state and federal regulations. Organise and communicate all required reporting, paperwork, and state tracking system recording. Assist SM(s) with inventory, sales, and compliance audits. Perform all daily opening and closing procedures. Ensure that the sales floor is adequately stocked at all times. Coordinate with management and senior leadership to perform daily, monthly, and yearly inventory audits and reconciliations. Log and dispose of all expired, damaged, or returned product according to regulations. Assist in receiving and verifying that all AGCO/wholesale deliveries are compliant and accurate compared to invoices. Provide daily correspondence via email and manager’s log, as needed. Comply with all HR policies, including confidentiality and non‑disclosures. Maintain a clean and organised work environment. Qualifications 4–5+ years of retail management experience. Must possess or be able to obtain a CanSell license from AGCO. Must successfully pass an extensive background check. Background: Clean Criminal Background check. Must possess or be able to obtain a Cannabis Retail Manager License from AGCO by the first month of employment. Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office. Prior experience managing in a Unionised environment. Sound knowledge of Cannabis plants and different strains. Knowledge of standards set by AGCO for Cannabis Retail stores. Knowledge of local and state laws related to retail Cannabis. Achievement‑oriented and hardworking. Organised, flexible, empathetic, detail‑oriented, and proactive. Excellent leadership and management skills. Strong time management, prioritisation, and multitasking skills. Strong communicator, clear presentation of ideas. Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills. Entrepreneurial, collaborative, and extremely positive attitude. Knowledgeable about the cannabis industry and its policies and laws.
