About the opportunity:

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for building and driving the execution of project plans, ensuring coordination and on time delivery of all tasks while managing the customer relationships. You will be working closely with various departments to ensure that all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track whilst driving alignment with our customers to ensure outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities & what you’ll be doing:

  • Review internal alignment – contracts & purchase orders with Customers and identify potential risks and mitigation plans.
  • Ensure engineering drawings are reviewed to guarantee proper implementation.
  • Submitting project deliverables and ensuring that they adhere to quality standards.
  • Project planning (using MS Project or similar software) for each project (and subset projects as required)
  • Occasionally traveling to the customer’s site for consultation with customers and/or installation supervision.
  • Project internal/external status reporting and management against timeline and budget
  • Project management from order receipt through fabrication, assembly, factory acceptance testing (FAT) and onsite installation and commissioning utilizing ABI’s Phase Gate Process
  • Managing the Customer relationship, including coordination of meetings, visits, project requests and requirements to meet customer expectations.
  • Lead and support project resolution for unforeseen issues/circumstances in pursuit of maintaining project schedule and budget.
  • Conducting post-project evaluation and identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements and driving actions identified for improvement.
  • Any additional duties assigned by ABI Management

Education & Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in a program/project manager role
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in business & or Mechanical Engineering required.
  • PMP certification is preferred.
  • Budget management experience is required.
  • Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and comfortable leading meetings and presentations
  • Strong interpersonal skills, experience working effectively in a team environment with proven ability to influence.
  • Lean black belt is an asset.
  • Exceptional customer-facing skills and experience are required.

  • Great team player who at the same time can work with little or no supervision
  • Able to consistently represent the company in a professional manner
