Successful candidates will monitor quality by taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes and adjusting and/or reprogramming control while adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.Job DutiesProduce parts using CNC Mills and Lathes that conform to engineering blueprintsPrepare CNC programs and setup machineSupport machine setup and operation personnelEmphasis is placed on a continuous process of improvementAble to adjust offsets and code, if needed, to produce accurate partsComply with all applicable OHSA, ESA, and other provincial regulatory laws, as well as company safety policiesPlacement into Level I, Level II, or Senior will be dependent on past experience, sign off on internal training, and/or the ability to learn additional equipment in the shopAny other duties as assigned by the Machining Supervisor or Senior Leadership teamManagement retains the discretion to add or change the duties of this position at any timeQualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent2 year degree in machining, preferredMinimum of 3 years' experience as a setter/machinist in a manufacturing environmentKnowledge of G&M codesMust be able to work in a Team environmentAble to work in a fast-paced production environmentExperience with HAAS CNC mills is an assetAbility to machine all types of materials (steel, aluminum, stainless, and plastics)Must be able to read precision measuring tools (callipers, micrometres, depth gages)Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tablesMust have good communication skillsMust have good math skillsAbility to work assigned hours plus overtime as neededPhysical RequirementsMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Must be able to stand for long periods of timeHourly Wage: $24-$30 based on experienceReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
