Join WSP in Canada as a Technical Director, Civil Engineering. As a Landfill Gas Engineer, you'll work with the strongest Waste group in Ontario on large and technically challenging waste projects.The Opportunity: You'll provide strategic leadership and technical oversight for landfill engineering projects, lead the development of landfill gas design methodologies, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients and executive leadership.Key Responsibilities:Provide strategic leadership and technical oversight for landfill engineering projects.Lead the development and implementation of landfill gas design methodologies, standards, and innovation initiatives.Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, internal stakeholders, and executive leadership on landfill gas matters.Oversee project delivery, ensuring quality, compliance, and profitability across a portfolio of high-impact projects.Mentor technical staff and contribute to talent development and succession planning.Represent WSP in industry associations, technical committees, and client engagements.Drive thought leadership in landfill gas engineering, contributing to publications, conferences, and strategic initiatives.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline; Master's or PhD preferred.Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario. Registered professional engineer in additional Canadian provinces would be an asset.Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in landfill gas engineering.Advanced knowledge of landfill gas engineering design and project delivery.Experience with completing senior peer review of landfill gas designs.Demonstrated leadership on key projects and experience with delivering project excellence.Strong seller-doer capable of generating work, creating long-term relationships, and delivering long-term value to clients for WSP.Highly collaborative and driven to form internal partnerships.About WSP: We are one of the world's leading professional services firms, committed to upholding a culture of inclusion and belonging.
