The engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, documentation, and debugging of time critical, multi-threaded, distributed applications that interact with Exegy’s custom hardware acceleration devices. Successful candidates should have a strong work ethic, work well with others in a team environment, and the ability to quickly learn complex concepts relating to market data processing systems.ResponsibilitiesDesign and build ultra-low latency Foreign Exchange feed handlers for Equities, Options, Commodities, Fixed Income and Foreign Exchange marketsDesign and build reusable and extensible software to process financial market data in an ultra-low latency systemRefactor and test existing software implementationsSupport Technical Account Managers and OperationsMentor other Market Data Engineer developersWork with other development groups at Exegy on strategic initiativesIdentify ways to automate testing, packaging, and deploymentOur Ideal Candidate Has:BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or relevant industry experience7+ years’ experience in developing multithreaded C++ software systems5+ years’ experience in designing clean and extensible object-oriented designsExperience in applying design patternsExperience with scripting languages, Python preferredFamiliarity with Linux operating systems (RedHat, CentOS, SUSE Linux)Experience with Linux development and debugging toolsKnowledge of profiling, memory leak detection and other code analysisExperience developing real-time or ultra-low latency C++ software systems preferredExperience with financial market data preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
