Location: Export Development Canada operates in a hybrid environment, requiring employees to work in the office 2 days per week (subject to change). This role can be performed from EDC’s headquarters in Ottawa or from one of our Community Hubs located in Toronto, Mississauga, Montreal, Brossard, Laval, Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, or Vancouver. Team Overview The Digital & Technology Solutions (DTS) group, established in 2023, empowers customers and colleagues to deliver secure and reliable digital experiences. Define, execute, and sustain the integrated technology target state and data model to enable EDC’s 2030 business transformation. Establish and manage the rolling 3‑Year Digital Roadmap that sequences essential technology outcomes. Keep pace with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure EDC remains relevant and competitive. Lead integrated digital, data, infrastructure, and cybersecurity implementations to enhance customer, user, and employee experiences. What You Will Be Doing Design and implement cloud‑based solutions, preferably in Azure. Design, train, and leverage AI and large language models. Develop robust solutions with Python or .NET on Azure stack. Advocate innovative solutions to complex problems that broadly impact EDC. Support Product Owners/Business Analysts in translating business needs into technical solutions. Review systems models, specifications, diagrams, and charts for API, integration, and DevSecOps advice. Promote best practices such as SOLID principles, documentation, and testing across the software lifecycle. Participate in knowledge‑sharing sessions as a presenter and attendee. Communicate complex ideas, anticipate objections, and persuade senior stakeholders to adopt new viewpoints. What We Are Looking For Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Minimum 5 years (Level 17) or 7 years (Level 18) experience as a developer. Experience in AI training, finetuning, and inference. Strong proficiency in Python or C#. Hands‑on experience with backend technologies such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and ASP.NET Core. Advanced knowledge of web services, microservices, and API development. Advanced knowledge of integration services, including JSON and REST. Proficiency with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub, Docker, and Kubernetes. Experience with SAST/DAST tools and cybersecurity methodologies. Innovative, user‑centered problem‑solving skills. Strong attention to detail and passion for innovation. Familiarity with enterprise content management systems. What Will Make You Stand Out Familiarity with Test‑Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing. Experience with testing using 3 Amigos and Robot Framework. Azure Developer or AI certifications. Previous experience in the financial services industry. Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
