Electrical Apprentice 2nd Position at Johnson Controls (formerly Silent‑Aire). The 2nd and 3rd year Apprentice Electricians will install and terminate conduit, cable, equipment, panels, sensors, and various control components and devices for Silent‑Aire Limited Partnership. They construct and fabricate control panels, install interlocking wiring, perform wiring checks, install system components in compliance with the NEC, NESC, NFPA, and the UFC, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical control circuits for motors and control devices. They provide material take‑offs, propose changes or modifications to improve systems, ensure accuracy and completion of tasks, test installed equipment, keep detailed maintenance reports, monitor parts usage, and assist in preventive maintenance schedules. All duties are performed under Silent‑Aire’s safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health & Safety Act, Regulations, and Code. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Registered as an apprentice electrician in Alberta and enrolled in a recognized trade school. Ability to work under the supervision of journeyman electricians, both as part of a team and independently. Experience with routine electrical maintenance operations is an asset. Highly flexible with solid interpersonal skills for diverse working environments. Excellent verbal and written communication. Strong attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure. Professional demeanor when dealing with people sensitively and diplomatically.
