What the day will look like You will act as an Aon Ambassador to clients, build, cultivate, and develop client relationships through value proposition and service delivery. You will collaborate with regional leaders and be supported by associates and analysts while providing guidance and leadership to junior colleagues. Responsibilities Lead all aspects of investment consulting projects, crafting, coordinating, preparing, and delivering analytical consulting assessments. Identify and develop opportunities on client accounts, growing the scope of existing projects and relationships and driving sales for the Practice. Lead increasingly challenging client relationships by providing proactive and innovative support, applying good judgment and appropriate follow‑through with firm employees, investment managers, trustees, and clients. Efficiently apply internal resources for effective handling of multiple client projects. Mentor the team on specific client types (e.g., not‑for‑profit organizations) or unique investment issues such as responsible investment, transition management, custom target‑date funds, endowment spending models. Demonstrate clear understanding and ability to articulate the value proposition of all Canadian Investment Consulting services. Lead ad hoc projects for the Canada Investment Consulting Senior Management Team / local leadership. Qualifications 12+ years of direct experience in a financial/institutional investment consulting environment. Experience working with institutional clients, especially managing large client blocks and teams. Proven problem‑solving and analytical decision‑making skills for complex client/business issues. Ability to understand short‑term and long‑term client needs and identify business development opportunities. Creative spirit, collaborate on growth and expansion opportunities. Strong client‑facing skills and the ability to clearly articulate ideas and respond promptly. Detail‑oriented, results‑orientated, able to work independently on diverse projects, balancing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Strong technical expertise and current knowledge of investment industry trends and market activity. Planning and organizational skills to coordinate delivery of projects and advisory services. Persuasive, forward‑thinking, dynamic, energetic, and focused. Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail. Some travel is required to service clients. Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Commerce or related field, or equivalent experience. Completion of MBA or CFA is preferred.
