INTERVENTIONAL GASTROENTEROLOGISTBrandon Regional Health Centre is seeking an Interventional Gastroenterologist to join their team. The ideal candidate should have excellent skills in interventional gastroenterology and the ability to perform minimally invasive procedures to diagnose and treat gastrointestinal disorders.Position SummaryBrandon Regional Health Centre is a fully accredited multi-specialty facility with 300+ bed capacity and is currently undergoing a $110 million-dollar expansion of our inpatient care facilities, expected to be completed by 2026. Our facility operates 3 endoscopy rooms, with a fleet of 45 scopes and offers a high level of service to the Region.ResponsibilitiesDiagnose diseases and physiological disordersPrescribe post-operation medication and treatmentTreat diseases, injuries and deformitiesAct as consultants to other physiciansOrder laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic proceduresRequired qualificationsThe successful candidate must hold a Doctor of Medicine degree with specialization in endoscopy and be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada and registration with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of ManitobaCurrent licensure or eligible for full license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of ManitobaCandidates with advanced endoscopy training preferredRemuneration/HoursRemuneration is derived from fee-for-service billing as per the current Manitoba physicians’ manual negotiated in the Master Agreement between the Minister of Health, Seniors and Active Living and Doctors Manitoba.Work conditions and physical capabilitiesThe work environment is fast-paced, requiring attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
