Prepare and serve patient meals at Barrhead Continuing Care using basic food preparation, portioning, and sanitation skills. Casual relief shifts vary.
As a Food Service I, you will complete routine tasks within Patient Food Services. Follow established standards and menus while packaging portions, serving patients and customers, and maintaining clean equipment. This casual relief role includes days, evenings, nights, weekends, and on-call shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare food according to established menus and guidelines
- Package and portion food items accurately
- Serve meals to patients and customers
- Clean and sanitize dishes, equipment, and tables
- Maintain clean serving areas throughout shifts
Requirements:
- Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent
- Ability to lift food, supplies, and equipment up to 46 pounds
- Ability to push and pull meal carts up to 250 pounds
- Ability to walk and stand throughout the shift
- Availability for varied shifts and on-call work
