In collaboration with the greater Energy and Resources team, this role will be called upon to assume responsibility for a multitude of multidisciplinary projects primarily in the Mining sectors. Initially this position will be leading a regional group focused on the Mining and metals sector across Western Canada. Primary Responsibilities Act as mechanical manager for medium and large-scale studies and projects, including direct supervision of engineers, designers, and project team stakeholders. Actively participate in the design and development of plans and specifications for equipment such as crushers, screens, conveyors, hoppers, transfer chutes, rotary kilns, etc. Actively participate in the design of material handling, crushing plants, hydrometallurgical processes and concentrators such as floatation, leaching, filtration, solvent extraction and even tailings filtration and processing. Ensure multidisciplinary coordination to establish plant layouts in accordance with industry standards and best practices established by our customers. Deliver mechanical engineering according to the established scope, estimated hours, planned dates, and expected quality in accordance with company standards. Act as a mentor within industrial mechanics team. Influence the execution plan for brownfield projects to align with existing site constraints and project objectives. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, with recognized experience in the mining industry. Professional engineering certification in Canada (OIQ, an asset). More than 10 years of experience, specifically in metallurgical processing, bulk handling, and strategic minerals. Strong ability to solve technical problems. Ability to work with other disciplines and influence the execution of studies and projects. Strong ability to motivate and mobilize the mechanical team. Field experience (inspection, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning) an asset. Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle. The expected salary for this position is based on the richness and diversity of the candidate’s experience, training, skills and internal equity.
