The Opportunity: Our Resources subsector, a key component of WSP’s ERI (Energy, Resources and Industry) sector, supports clients from coast to coast. Over the decades, we have developed a wide range of services, including economic studies, project management, detailed design, procurement, site management, commissioning and industrial programming. This division provides a full range of services to industrial and mining projects, including all services offered in the field of engineering from conceptual and feasibility studies to complete detailed engineering in EPCM, to the closure and dismantling of mine sites. To meet our growth challenges, WSP is currently seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Sudbury, Ontario office. From conceptual design to project completion, you’ll apply your structural design skills to deliver exceptional results. Make technical decisions and take responsibility on technical matters. Design management with input from other senior engineers on technical decisions. Coordinate with various disciplines required for project implementation. Write and review technical reports, and construction specifications. Site investigation, inspection, and evaluate conditions of existing structures. Occasional travel to various client sites, attend project meetings and conduct field reviews. Other duties as assigned. What you'll bring to WSP: Registered as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) within the Province of Ontario in Civil or Structural Engineering; At least six (6) years of relevant experience in the design of concrete and steel structures in Canada; Possess in depth or broad knowledge, skills and practices for mining and/or industrial projects; Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of programs; Proficiency in application of Canadian Codes and Standards; and Proficiency in structural design software S-Frame, Staad Pro, or SAP. #LI-Hybrid #J-18808-Ljbffr
