The OpportunityWe are currently looking for a Database Administrator who will be responsible for the effective provisioning, installation / configuration, operation, and maintenance of SQL Server & Oracle here at Arc. This role is accountable to deliver assigned projects and BAU tasks defined in the project pipeline in a safe, efficient and reliable manner.The RoleMonitor SQL Server and Oracle databases across IT and OT environmentsInstallation, configuration and upgrading of Microsoft SQL Server / Oracle server software and related toolsEvaluate MSSQL / Oracle features and MSSQL / Oracle related productsAssist with establishing and maintaining sound backup and recovery policies and proceduresImplement and maintain database security according to company policy and procedureDatabase tuning and performance monitoringScript database deployments and migrations for applications teamInterface with MSSQL / Oracle vendors for technical supportEnsure effective access to data and information assets whilst maintaining the requirements of security, privacy and confidentialityParticipate in testing of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans to ensure that the business can continue to function in the event of exceptional scenariosMaintain contemporary knowledge of system architectures and information systems appropriate to the organisationAbout YouExperience supporting mission critical database platformsExperience in supporting Oracle and SQL Server databasesAbility to develop and enforce standards and best practicesStrong documentation and communication skills requiredAbility to interact effectively and professionally with staff and customersExperience is configuring high availability database environmentsWorking at Arc InfrastructureWorking with us means working in a team environment where each person and team is valued for the diverse skills, ideas and experiences they bring.
