The Opportunity Reporting to the Manager of Organizational Performance, the Organizational Performance Officer supports the advancement of corporate frameworks and strategies, including but not limited to strategic planning, continuous improvement and innovation, organizational development, service excellence, and public engagement. Accountabilities Provide support to the development and monitoring of corporate plans, annual action plans, Departmental business plans, integrated planning, and metrics. Plan, research, and prepare reports, presentations, proposals, and briefing notes on a variety of issues and initiatives. Provide support, advice, monitoring, and guidance to various committees aligned with strategies and frameworks. Develop and implement public engagement plans and tools/methodology. Design and analyze surveys, and write summary reports. Manage the City’s public engagement website, engagestjohns.ca, including content development, liaison, database management, report generation, newsletter writing, and recommendations. Undertake and/or support corporate continuous improvement projects. Lead process design, facilitation, needs assessment, planning, analytics, and evaluation as needed. Organize events and manage logistics. Qualifications Education: Undergraduate degree in business/commerce, communications, public administration, evaluation, or a related field. Certification in Continuous Improvement and/or International Association of Public Participation Certification training is an asset. Experience: 3–5 years in fields related to the position, including: Continuous improvement, such as facilitating root‑cause analysis, data collection, and analytics. Stakeholder analysis and public engagement tools/methodologies. Research methods: survey design and analysis. Process design for meetings and events, facilitation, and report writing. Website management and updates. Proficiency with software including Microsoft Teams, SurveyMonkey, tracking and project‑based software. Conducting jurisdictional scans and best practice reviews. Providing advice and guidance on frameworks, strategies, and plans. Supporting development and delivery of training. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered. Hours of Work Monday- Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM. The incumbent may be required to work outside regular hours due to operational requirements.
