Our Parks & Environment Department Our Parks & Environment Department is looking for dedicated Seasonal Weed Inspectors to join the team. Position Responsibilities Identification of a variety of weed species. Inspect and document noxious weed locations. Issue weed notices with compliance deadlines. Input of data into computer. Prioritization of work assignments. Ability to work independently. High level of customer service experience. Qualifications Current First Aid certification (required before start date) Valid Class 5 drivers license (less then 6 demerits) Must be able to work entire contract Valid Pesticide Application Certifications in the following Classes are an asset: Industrial Landscape Hours The standard workweek consists of an average of 40 hours, with the specific schedule being determined by the immediate supervisor. Compensation Starting salary $36.42 per hour as per the CUPE Collective Agreement. Benefits Comprehensive benefits package.
