About the Client
Our client is sourcing a Senior Joint Venture Accountant for a 3-Month Contract.

About the Opportunity
  • Review and process operated and non-operated billings, including overhead, working interest, capital charges, contract operating rates and relevant agreements
  • Efficiently respond to queries on EnergyLink, process adjustments and coordinate necessary communication to resolve issues
  • Prepare analysis, reports, and statements for management use as required
  • Create AFE’s and track budgets, review contracts and report on overspend
  • Set up, maintain, and validate all AFE’s, cost centers, working interest splits, overheads, and allocations within Pandell JV
  • Process month end in Pandell JV and create operated joint interest billings
  • Process operated lease rentals (Freehold Surface, Freehold Mineral, Crown Surface, and Crown Mineral) and release to partners on EnergyLink
  • Work closely with the land group for both inbound and outbound road use billing, and rental invoices
  • Prepare account reconciliations and follow up on collection of accounts receivable
  • Review and update quarterly allocations, working with field and production engineers

About You
  • Post-secondary accounting certificate/diploma/degree
  • 5+ years of experience with joint venture accounting
  • Proficient with EnergyLink, Pandell JV, Pandell AFE, Petrinex and Microsoft Office
  • Strong understanding of joint venture agreements, revenue, and expense allocations
