Licensed Practical Nurses administer medications and assess clients at Margaret Stewart Ellis Home in O’Leary. This is a full-time permanent Health PEI position.
Health PEI seeks Licensed Practical Nurses for stable clients with predictable outcomes. The work includes nursing assessments, medication administration, monitoring equipment, and client-centred care. LPNs collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams, follow direction, and practice within professional standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer oral, subcutaneous, and intramuscular medications
- Complete comprehensive head-to-toe client health assessments
- Manage monitoring equipment and recognize abnormal results
- Perform venipunctures and change non-medicated IV solution bags
- Guide care workers, students, clients, and families
Requirements:
- Active or eligible Prince Edward Island registration
- Current CPR/BCLS, TLR, WHMIS, and All Hazards Codes certifications
- Knowledge of chronic illnesses and client care needs
- Ability to work independently and under supervision
- Effective oral, written, organizational, and time-management skills
Provide accountable practical nursing, medication administration, and holistic care as part of Health PEI’s client care team.
