Special Projects Manager / Senior Manager, Tax OverviewAt KPMG, you’ll join a team of diverse and dedicated problem solvers, connected by a common cause turning insight into opportunity for clients and communities around the world. What You Will Do Strategic stakeholder managementPartner with Tax leadership, key stakeholders, and enabling functions to identify, prioritize, and execute high-impact strategic initiatives. Current state assessment and diagnostic reviewsConduct deep-dive assessments of current processes, technology use, and resource deployment across the Tax practice; quantify improvement opportunities and support business cases for change; engage with stakeholders to assess current processes; partner with technology and innovation teams to leverage digital tools, automation, and analytics. Future state design and implementationDefine the desired end state for key Tax processes and service models; develop actionable roadmaps for transition, including milestones, resource requirements, and change management considerations; lead projects, develop charters, work plans, and success metrics; ensure sustainability through governance, measurement, and continuous improvement. Change management and communicationDrive adoption of new processes and tools through clear communication, engagement, and training initiatives; anticipate and manage resistance to change through proactive stakeholder engagement and problem resolution. What You Bring To The Role Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, operations, or a related field. Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional projects in a professional services environment, focusing on operational excellence, process improvement, or tax function transformation. Proven ability to conduct current-state assessments and quantify improvement opportunities, including building business cases for change. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including presenting to senior leadership and steering committees. Expertise in process design and implementation with effective governance and measurement to ensure sustainability. Change management capability, including driving adoption, training, and managing resistance to change. Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies. Proficiency with process mapping and analysis; comfort working with data/analytics to quantify improvement opportunities. Familiarity with digital enablement/automation concepts applicable to Tax operations; experience with collaboration tools and productivity software. Proficiency in English at a business level is required. KPMG BC Region Pay Range InformationThe expected base salary range for this position is $74,000 to $111,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards.
