OverviewMatchbox Consulting Group is looking for a Senior Water and Wastewater Engineer in Regina, SK. A well-established engineering consulting firm is expanding its team with a Senior Water and Wastewater Process Engineer. This role is available in Regina and offers opportunities to mentor and lead projects. The position is suitable for an experienced professional with 8–10+ years of municipal water and wastewater treatment design experience. Depending on experience, candidates may join as a Process Engineer focused on design or advance into a Project Manager role with full project oversight and client-facing responsibilities.You’ll work on a range of municipal infrastructure projects—from small-scale system upgrades to complex treatment plant builds valued at $15–20M. The role combines hands-on process design with inter-disciplinary coordination and opportunities to contribute during construction and commissioning phases.ResponsibilitiesLead or support the design of water and wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, and related municipal infrastructureDevelop process solutions and technical documentation, including P&IDs, control narratives, and design reportsPrepare cost estimates and tender packages as part of project deliveryCoordinate with internal multi-disciplinary teams to ensure cohesive and efficient design executionParticipate in construction support and on-site commissioning as neededEngage with municipal clients and, depending on experience, lead project coordination and mentorship of junior staffRequirementsBackground in Civil or Environmental Process Engineering with a focus on water and/or wastewater treatment designRegistered P.Eng (or eligible for registration) in Saskatchewan or another Canadian province8–10+ years of relevant experience in municipal water/wastewater projectsProven ability to develop process designs and work across disciplinesFamiliarity with structural, HVAC, controls, and electrical systems is considered an assetExperience working with Saskatchewan municipalities is a strong advantageDemonstrated client-facing and leadership experience preferredThis role offers a strong path to growth—whether into project management or senior technical leadership.
