OverviewFinance & Project Systems Manager (SAP FICO / PS)Location: Southeast Calgary, AB (Hybrid / Onsite)Employment Type: Full-time, PermanentAbout the OpportunityWe are working with a global, Calgary-based organization seeking a Finance & Project Systems Manager to lead SAP Finance, Controlling, and Project Systems capabilities across a complex, multi-region business.This role reports into an IT Business Enablement leader and manages a team of SAP specialists supporting SAP FICO and PS, with responsibility for both day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives. The environment is fast-moving, highly integrated, and global in scope, supporting operations across North America, Latin America, the Middle East, and APAC.This is a people-leadership role with hands-on functional depth, ideal for someone who has grown through SAP FICO/PS and is comfortable owning outcomes, guiding teams, and partnering closely with Finance leadership.What You'll Be DoingLead and manage a team of SAP FICO and Project Systems specialistsOwn support operations including incident prioritization, resource assignment, and issue resolutionProvide leadership in SAP FICO and PS configuration, optimization, and enhancementsDrive analysis, design, and delivery of SAP changes and improvementsAct as the primary IT liaison for Finance and Project stakeholdersManage integration points with other SAP modules (MM, SD, PM, PP, CS, CATS)Support audit requirements, including SAP control reviews and SOX compliancePartner with Finance leaders to translate business needs into scalable SAP solutionsPromote SAP standards, support processes, and best practicesLead testing and validation of SAP changes in collaboration with business usersSupport both small initiatives and large, multi-phase projectsWhat We're Looking ForPrevious IT people-management experience supporting SAP FICO and PS10+ years of SAP Finance & Controlling configuration experience5+ years of SAP Project Systems experienceStrong understanding of accounting, controlling, project accounting, and cost controlsExperience working with SAP ECC 6 and SAP S/4HANAProven experience supporting SOX audits and SAP controlsStrong integration knowledge across SAP modulesExperience in manufacturing or project-based environments is an assetExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsComfortable leading teams through change in a fast-paced environmentNice to HaveCOPA and results analysis experienceSAP Concur exposureExperience supporting global SAP landscapesWhy This RoleSenior leadership role with real ownershipGlobal business exposureOpportunity to shape SAP Finance & Project Systems strategyStable organization with long-term investment in SAPInterested?If this role aligns with your background and career goals, we'd be happy to share more details and discuss next steps.
