Job Description As Senior Manager, Tax Technical Business Partner, you will solve complex business issues from strategy to execution, providing tax‑related advice to clients while coordinating with local and global teams in policy, payroll, immigration, and automation. You will be a trusted tax advisor, aiming to reduce tax risk and enhance the global mobility program’s compliance. Responsibilities Lead and coach Vialto teams, building trust and supporting development. Resolve issues that impede team effectiveness. Analyze complex proposals and recommend solutions for clients. Develop recommendations using stakeholder insights. Review and sign tax returns and related deliverables for globally mobile employees within deadlines. Advise clients on tax, payroll, and global mobility policy. Collaborate with finance and HR to ensure accurate payroll tax calculations and reporting. Provide tax advice on assignment structures, treaty use, and tax‑efficient benefits. Stay current on international tax law developments and advise clients on impact. Introduce clients to other service lines and collaborate with SMEs for integrated solutions. Conduct research on country‑specific tax issues. Implement global mobility tax strategies to minimize liabilities for company and employee. Identify fresh business prospects within existing clients and nurture relationships to drive revenue growth. Analyze market trends and competitive landscape for growth opportunities. Qualifications Extensive Canadian & U.S. tax technical knowledge, especially expatriate tax planning and global mobility policy. Proven client‑driven revenue growth through needs assessment and solution development. Excellent management of resources, project workflow, budgets, billing, and collections. Ability to foster a positive environment while meeting client expectations and respecting team work‑life balance. Strong communication skills with timely feedback and leadership updates. Knowledge of automation and digitization in professional services settings. Experience negotiating pricing strategies with clients, reviewing contracts, and introducing new pricing options. Bachelor’s degree. US CPA or IRS Enrolled Agent designation. Minimum 7 years’ experience. Additional Information Hybrid role: minimum two days per week in the office. Location: Toronto.
