Responsibilities Spearhead the design, development, and execution of comprehensive transportation and logistics initiatives for product and material distribution. Oversee the customs compliance team, ensuring all import and export operations strictly adhere to relevant customs regulations and requirements. Liaise and coordinate effectively with customs brokers, various carriers, and internal departments for the expedited and timely clearance of goods. Strategically utilize company spending power with transportation service providers to maximize efficiency and cost‑effectiveness. Accurately classify products using appropriate HTS/HS codes and diligently maintain all necessary supporting documentation. Work collaboratively with internal suppliers to institute and manage ongoing continuous improvement programs in the industrial management supply chain. Qualifications Demonstrated professional history of 5 to 7 years in the combined fields of transportation, customs, and logistics. Relevant post‑secondary education, such as a Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or equivalent industry experience. Proven capacity and track record in effectively leading and managing teams. Adept in the application of Lean and other Process Improvement methodologies to optimize workflows. Advanced‑level proficiency in analytical tools and computer systems, including experience with ERP, WMS, and TMS platforms. Competence in investigating and resolving customs‑related issues, such as holds, errors, and penalties, while identifying duty‑reduction opportunities.
