Consultant, Customer Strategy & Experience (Business Policy) Permanent – Full Time Apply no later than 01/08/2026 to be considered for this opportunity. Job Summary The Consultant is accountable for providing leadership and strategic consultation and support in business policy development, implementation, and evaluation across multiple functional areas. As a member of SaskPower’s management team, this position researches, develops, recommends, and implements strategic and operational programs, policies, and procedures regarding SaskPower’s organizational structure, operations, and managerial methods; ensuring alignment with departmental and corporate goals and objectives. Key Accountabilities Provide strategic and confidential consultation and advice on a broad range of policy matters, offering solutions related to management and day‑to‑day operations. Lead and participate in projects identifying current and future business needs, industry best practices, opportunities, and challenges, providing recommendations and executing operational improvements. Lead and participate in the development, review, and implementation of business policies and procedures to support SaskPower’s strategic objectives. Lead and participate in cross‑functional work teams, strategic planning initiatives, workshops, and meetings to ensure policies are practical, effective, and widely understood. Prepare and deliver policy presentations, reports, and briefings for internal and external audiences. Drive and facilitate change, implementing strategic projects or initiatives throughout the organization. Develop and maintain strategic networks and business relationships both internal and external to SaskPower. Provide leadership and direction to project teams, corporate programs, and/or assigned staff as required. Other related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Engineering, or related equivalent (MBA considered an asset). Five (5) years related experience in developing, leading, and executing business policy and customer‑focused strategies. Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret policy impacts, facilitate strategic conversations, and present policy recommendations to senior leadership. Team leader and member with ability to build and maintain strategic relationships internally and externally. Results‑oriented thinker, capable of managing and providing advice on complex, confidential issues with sensitivity and professionalism. Ability to influence others while holding people accountable. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work and manage in a changing environment. Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, project management and decision‑making skills. Ability to foster a culture based on safety, innovation and teamwork. Demonstrated skill in SaskPower’s competencies. Continuing record of professional development. Suitable combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered. Candidates may be required to participate in an assessment process (interview, abilities test, case study, and/or presentation).
