Control Systems Engineer - Project Lead Location: Richmond, BC Join our team at Brock Solutions, an innovative engineering solutions and professional services company specializing in real‑time operational solutions for industrial, manufacturing, and transportation/logistics organizations worldwide. As our company grows, we need talented professionals to lead control systems projects. In this role you will design, program, integrate, troubleshoot, and support new and existing automated control systems. Key responsibilities: PLC programming Design of Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) Troubleshooting electrical, PLC, and HMI systems Interfacing with real‑time database applications to manage critical production information Supporting project proposals and estimation Preparing functional specifications Training new team members Assisting with equipment selection and procurement Site commissioning and installation Performing duties as assigned by the Project Manager Qualifications: Ability to problem‑solve 3+ years working with PLCs (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens) Experience with Ladder Logic 2+ years experience leading controls engineering teams Knowledge of HMIs (e.g., Ignition, FactoryTalk View) Ability to read electrical schematics Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Understanding of industrial environments Strong attention to detail Ability to mentor and guide others Ability to maintain composure under pressure Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems Design, Automation, Industrial Engineering or equivalent college diploma Ability to complete all required security clearance requirements for the role Capability to obtain a TN visa for working in the United States (check eligibility here) Willingness to travel up to 40% throughout the year Why Work at Brock?
