You will have the ability to work on new features and contribute to our digital solutions within a collaborative and supportive team that values accountability and collective problem solving.Position ResponsibilitiesTake part in brainstorming sessions to develop creative and innovative digital solutionsDesign, code, unit test and integrate new features and functionalityCollaborate with product partners, software engineers, quality engineers and business analysts to uncover blockers and opportunities to deliver new business value through softwareMaintain and ensure high quality software, with accountability for production reliability and usagePromote agile principles and methodology within the squadFamiliarity with agile and DevOps principles, test-driven development, continuous integration, and other approaches to accelerate the delivery of new featuresComplete documentation as part of definition of done, e.g. deployment, maintenance, support and for business needsKeep up-to-date on the latest test software and frameworksDrive software development process to quality-centric methodologiesRequired Qualifications5+ years Full Stack experience supporting technical initiatives for complex enterprise implementationsLanguages such as React, Redux, NodeJS, Express, HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScriptHands on experience in MERN Stack (Mongo, Express, React, Node.Js)Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD tools, such as JenkinsEngineer and test high quality APIs and servicesExperience in test frameworks such as TestNG, Selenium etc. and knowledge of test-driven developmentVersion control, performance optimization, and coding standard methodologiesCollaborative attitude, willingness to work with team members; able to coach, participate in code reviews, share skills and methodsContinuously learn from both success and failurePreferred QualificationsGood organizational and problem-solving abilities that enable you to manage through creative abrasionGood verbal and written communication; effectively articulate technical vision, possibilities, and outcomesExperiments with emerging technologies and understanding how they will impact what comes nextDegree in Computer Science or technical field or equivalent experienceWhen you join our teamWe’ll empower you to learn and grow the career you want.We’ll recognize and support you in a flexible environment where well-being and inclusion are more than just words.As part of our distributed team, we’ll support you in shaping the future you want to see.About Manulife and John HancockManulife Financial Corporation is a leading international financial services provider, helping people make their decisions easier and lives better. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
