We are excited to see what you bring to our teamDuties and Responsibilities:Implement the design concept through the preparation of electrical detailed design, production drawings and schematics for industrial, commercial, and/or institutional buildings using AutoCAD and/or RevitDesign and prepare layouts and specification for lighting, electrical distribution (single line diagrams), emergency power distribution, fire alarm, wiring diagrams, riser diagrams, cable, and panel schedulesEngage in meetings with clients, contractors, and other consultants regarding project reports and findingsProvide expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis, and resolution of problemsEnsure ASHRAE and LEED compliance where applicableCreate technical reports, documentation, calculations, and sketchesCreate specifications and equipment selectionReview shop drawings to confirm they adhere to project requirementsConsistently follow company policies, procedures, and file structures/formattingOther duties as assigned.Qualifications and Requirements:Post-secondary Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field requiredMaster’s degree in Electrical Engineering is an assetProfessional Engineer (P.Eng) designation is required5+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering for industrial, commercial, and/or institutional buildingsWork experience designing HV substations, fire alarms, lighting, emergency power generation, MV and LV distribution systems, and large electrical systemsKnowledge of applicable codes and standards such as the Canadian Electrical Code,National Building Code of Canada (NBC(AE)), etcAbility to meet deadlines/successful completion of deliverablesExcellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure on various tasksSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a teamEffective verbal and written communication skillsPosition Details:Type: Full-timeLocation: Calgary, AlbertaEligibility: Applicants must be eligible to work in CanadaHow to Apply:Interested candidates should submit their application for consideration.
