The area also has a few golf courses and is close to Buffalo Lake. Stettler Hospital, 50 bed Inpatient Type A Home Unit. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).Additional Required Qualifications: Knowledge of Medication Assistance Program (MAP). Ability to support the HCAs who participate in this program. Strong communication and leadership skills. The ability to balance numerous demands and conflicting priorities is essential. The candidate must be able to work well independently and within a team. Demonstrates critical thinking skills, including clinical judgment, problem solving skills and strong decision-making ability. Required to work to full scope of practice of LPN.Preferred QualificationsHave 1 to 2 years recent experience in LTC/ Supportive living / Seniors Health. Understanding of collaborative care and resident focus care. Dementia Care Training. Experience working with Palliative Care clients and families. Palliative care education an asset.
