Our brand promise - Makes Work Life Better TM - Reflects our commitment to employees, customers, partners and communities globally.Location: For this role, we are open to remote work and can hire anywhere in Canada.What you’ll get to doResponsible for ensuring all aspects of the payroll cycle, including tax, benefits, garnishments, etc. are processed, reconciled, audited and transmitted accurately and timelyEnsure accurate and timely processing of payroll impacting changes, tax forms, payments and payroll processing for assigned clientsResponsible for quality control and auditing to ensure accuracy and low error or defect percentageWork with cross-functional internal partners to resolve client payroll matters and employee inquiriesProvide Payroll support services to clients according to Ceridian contract, legislative requirements and business needsManage client and consumer related tasks within the case management system ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and timelySkills and Experience we ValueIndustry related certifications or will obtain after employmentMulti-client payroll processing experience2000+ employee payroll processing experienceEnd-to-end payroll processing experienceExperience with Dayforce HCM or similar cloud payroll technologyStrong working knowledge of quality control and auditing standardsA desire to continually learnAbility to communicate and collaborate with clients and internal team membersMultinational (US/CA) payroll processing experience is an assetBilingual is an assetDrive customer satisfaction by providing high quality of serviceThink and act ahead, spot opportunities and act accordingly and proactively contribute to process improvementsAdhering to and reporting on SLA metricsProvide direction and assistance to other payroll specialists.Lead individual or team training as requested/requiredCreate, update standard operating procedures and performs quarterly document reviewsManage client and consumer related tasks within the case management system ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and timely.Performs administrative functions as required with minimal supervisionResponsible for quality control and performing audits of both work of peers and client data to ensure accuracy and low error or defect percentageWork with cross-functional internal partners to resolve client payroll matters and employer and employee inquiriesAbility to communicate and collaborate with clients and internal team membersResponsible for ensuring all aspects of the payroll cycle including all payroll impacting changes are processed, reconciled, audited and transmitted accurately and timelyProvide Payroll services to clients according to Ceridian contract, legislative requirements and business needsProactively manage quarter, and year-end payroll auditing and processingResolve client’s issues and provide superior customer service to internal and external partnersProvides training, supporting peers and customers as neededExecutes minor configuration updates to product as applicable (PCR Lite)Executes Change Control process following change standardsAttends and leads customer meetings where required and supports discussions from payrollSupports Client Relationship Executives with requests as needed for customerCanada specific: Performs monthly reconciliations of tax remittances, Strong legislative working knowledge of all Canada garnishments to interpret, calculate, validate or enter ROE as needed.Hours of work between 8am-8pm Eastern Standard Time (EST)Minimum QualificationsMust have a minimum of 3 years of payroll (country) knowledgeGood time management to meet the deliverablesUnderstanding of SLAs and payroll deliverablesAbility to communicate and collaborate with clients and internal team membersAbility to work independently and make decisionsHighly skilled with in-depth knowledge of complex customer requirementsCan work as part of a team and independently with little supervisionHave an “I own it” attitude about deliverables and projects from start to finishA desire to continually learn and thrive in a fast-changing environmentExperience in an outsource environment an assetGood analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsIntermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelBe routinely flexible in work schedule to support clients and team based on business needs (weekends and public holiday work may be required)Experience with Dayforce or similar cloud payroll technology an assetGood understanding of payroll, benefits, garnishments and taxation and an understanding of applicable legislative requirements #LI-REMOTEWhat’s in it for youDayforce is fueled by the diversity of our talented employees.
