And in a recent survey, 89% of Long View team members rated Long View as a good or great place to workAre you passionate about technology and customer consultation?We are looking for a Solution Architect for our Edmonton branchAre you passionate about cutting edge technology and implementation technical solutions with a company that values FUNWe are looking for a client-focused and dynamic Solution Architect for our Edmontonbranch You will contribute to the business by designing tailored client solutions providing client support in a professional and courteous manner.What Your Role at Long View Looks Like:Ensure technology designs and implementations solve clients’ requirements and challengesDesign, architect and implement standard or custom technical solutions (at times oversees the design, architecture and implementation)Develop complete technology solutions across a breadth of technology options, taking into account all aspects of architecture including business and technical requirements, sizing, infrastructure, data protection, security and recovery itemsCreate relevant documentation as required (including but not limited to conceptual design, logical design, physical design, bill of materials, as-built diagrams, knowledge transfer materials, FAQs, transition to operations information)Industry Events CollaboratorRepresents Long View at vendor and industry events as requiredParticipate and contribute including sharing learnings and information with the larger Long View team that is not present at the eventMay host presentations and/or education sessionsTrusted AdvisorAlign with clients to build long term relationships that further business value for both the client and Long ViewAnalyze complex requirements and develops IT strategies and multi-technology solutions aligned with industry-accepted best practicesKeep abreast of relevant industry certifications and accreditations as aligned with key practices and technology partnersWhat You Bring to Long View:10+ years of experience working as a subject matter expert in at least 2 technology areas (Microsoft, cloud, virtualization and networking), one of which must be MicrosoftAdvanced level understanding of a wide range of technologies such as: Server, Exchange, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP/LDAP, ADFS, Office 365, Azure, System Center Suite, Intune, Hyper V and VMware vSphereCapability to translate technical features into tangible business benefitsAbility to effectively communicate to different audiences including internal stakeholders and peers clearly and concisely in written, oral and various presentation formats and situationsAbility to facilitate impactful workshops (envisioning workshops, art-of-the-possible sessions)Familiarity with the sales process and willingness to work within the approved Long View processesPrevious experience responding to RFPs, RFQs and RFIsDemonstrated life-long learner who is motivated to stay relevant in area of expertiseSolution focused mindset and creative thinkerStrong consulting, collaboration and leadership skillsExposure to new and emerging technologies such as MS Teams is considered an assetMicrosoft related technical certificationsWho you are:Demonstrated life-long learner who is motivated to stay relevant in area of expertiseSolution focused mindset and creative thinkerStrong consulting, collaboration and leadership skillsComfortable working in complex and dynamic work environmentsInterest in and knowledgeable about current news, system information, problems, changes and updates relevant to the IT user communityPassionate about total customer satisfaction and creating a great client experienceCommitted to Long View’s four core values: Integrity, Competence, Value and FunExcited about and willing to take 2 - 4 training events per yearWilling to assist in other areas of the businessSupportive and aware of following all LVS policies including our Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) and Respectful Workplace ProgramsLong View participates in various government audits and special programs every year.
