OverviewChild and Family Clinician — Infant, Child, Youth, and Family Program (37.5 hours/week) — Hybrid. EveryMind (formerly Peel Children's Centre) is seeking skilled mental health professionals to provide a continuum of mental health interventions to children/youth and their families. Preference will be given to candidates who can provide bilingual English and French services.EveryMind is an accredited children’s mental health centre offering a continuum of high-quality mental health services for children, youth and families experiencing social, emotional and/or behavioural challenges. Summary of ICYF Counselling & Therapy ServicesThe Child and Family Clinician will provide a continuum of mental health interventions, from brief one-on-one or family work to short‑term family counselling, and will facilitate therapeutic workshops/groups with children/youth and caregivers. Services are delivered in a variety of settings to meet client needs, and the role works with multiple stakeholders to address the mental health needs of Peel community families. Salary5-step range of $70,345 – $82,293 over 5 years. Hiring salaries are commensurate with experience and generally start at the beginning of the range. Why work at EveryMind? Job Responsibilities Provide skilled assessments, formulations, and treatment services to children/youth and families using evidence-based approaches (e.g., CBT, Motivational Interviewing, DBT, trauma-informed and attachment-informed frameworks) to improve home, school, and community functioning. Deliver single-session mental health consultations to children, youth, and caregivers (Tangerine Single Session Counselling program). Develop, implement, and regularly evaluate treatment plans aligned with client/family goals, strengths, and cultural values. Enhance informal and formal supports for the child and family. Design and implement crisis plans to ensure safety and wellbeing. Provide case management and outreach to coordinate services and meet changing needs. Offer transitional support and discharge planning to sustain treatment gains. Provide group services as required and offer in-person, virtual, and telephone counselling as needed. Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to program and agency-wide activities. Maintain comprehensive case records in accordance with organizational standards and timelines. Skills and Qualifications Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counselling Psychology, or a health-related field with a minimum of three years’ direct experience with children and families OR Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work/health-related field with a minimum of five years’ experience. Regulated member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills with a commitment to family engagement and client-centered, strength-based practice. Demonstrated cultural awareness, diversity sensitivity, and ability to engage diverse clients. Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and collaboration skills with internal/external stakeholders, families, and clients. Ability to work across settings (school, home, community) and build trusted relationships promptly. Knowledge of relevant legislation for children/youth services. Strong technology skills with client information systems and Microsoft Office; comfortable with apps. Effective oral and written communication, time management, and critical thinking with clear role boundaries. Fluency in languages other than English is an asset; capacity to provide services in French is encouraged to express interest in submission. Valid Ontario Driver’s license (Full G) and ability to travel across Peel region and surrounding areas. Ability to work flexible hours, including up to two evenings per week (until 8 pm) and hybrid in-person/virtual service delivery. Group facilitation experience is an asset.
