Policy Lead

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Policy Lead. The successful candidate will lead the development of an EntrepreNorth Policy Circle and the coordination of research, policy and advocacy work in collaboration with ecosystem partners, responsible governments, and community stakeholders. Their work will play a crucial role in shaping and advocating for policies that support Indigenous entrepreneurship, economic development, and community well-being across the North. They will also develop strategic partnerships in support of the work and secure funding for policy research. This position requires a strong background in policy analysis, research, and a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities faced by Indigenous entrepreneurs in Northern Canada.

  • University degree or college diploma and a minimum of 2-4 years of work experience in policy development, research and analysis, or a related field.

  • An excellent communicator who works well with others and under direction.
  • A highly self-motivated and adaptable individual who is able to take initiative and problem-solve to see projects through to completion.
  • Very organised and able to manage competing deadlines and priorities with the support of project management software and technology.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Appreciates and is open to travel opportunities across the North.
