TITLE – Senior Drupal Developer

SCOPE

We are looking for a passionate Senior Drupal Developer to join our team. As a Developer in our company, you will have the opportunity to work on new and exciting projects in a fully Agile/Scrum team environment.

Reporting to the Business Solution Delivery Development Lead for the Platform and Channel sub-domain, the Drupal Developer will have a diversified role developing code in accordance with application development standards and best practices, while working on projects, change requests, minor enhancements and defect resolution and application support. The candidate will be working on the eCommerce Platform Project team, providing new development for our developer API’s using IMB Connect.

He or she will be responsible for analyzing, developing and delivering technical solutions for the Platform and Channel sub-domain that satisfy the business requirements, and align with enterprise architecture. The Drupal Developer will also work with incident management teams to investigate and resolve issues and defects as they build out the application. We are an Agile organization, so previous exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies is a big plus.

DUTIES

  • Understand functional requirements as outlined in theuser stories
  • Responsible for designing and implementing new features and functionality
  • Responsible for helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme.
  • establishing and guiding the website’s architecture, ensuring high-performance and availability
  • Perform code review in critical functionality areaswith team members
  • Provide support to for testingduring product and user acceptance testing
  • Investigate and provide post implementation support of the technical solution implemented

DURATION AND POTENTIAL START DATE

Initial offering is for 1 year with a potential for renewal for a second year. ASAP – end of August/early September

Must Have:

  • 6 + years experience developing web solutions in Drupal
  • 6+ Advanced site-building experience including deep familiarity with Drupal modules such as CTools, Views, and Panels
  • 6+ Experience creating custom Drupal modules
  • 6+ Experience working with Cloud technologies
  • Knowledge of PHP, PHP files and theme functions, and knowledge of the Drupal theme layer
  • Through understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (e.g. Requirements, Design, Development, Testing) and exposure to Agile or iterative SDLCs.
  • 6+ Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
  • 6+ Working knowledge of REST APIs and web services
  • Proficiency in using Git / Bitbucket
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with Agile software development practices

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of and experience working with IBM API Connect
  • Secure coding practices, including spring security, and knowledge of common OWASP security findings
  • Experience implementing WCAG standards and specifications, particularly in Angular applications
  • Experience with CI/CD best practices and tools such as Jenkins, Microservices, OpenShift, SonarQube, etc.
  • Current with the latest technology, trends, and best practices

LOCATION OF WORK
