WSIB Claims Administrator Permanent Full Time Working with our automotive client Ford, the WSIB Claims Administrator incumbent will provide strategic case management of occupational disability claims/cases, file Employer's Reports with the WSIB on behalf of the Employer. What you will do: Provide ongoing claims management services and completion of requisite documentation as per prescribed WSIB policies; maintain contact with all stakeholders (WSIB, union, employer, and claimant); liaise with Ford medical rehabilitation consultants to ensure safe and timely return to work of Ford employees. Receive and review daily reports related to medical visits at Ford sites, and determine potential for Workers Compensation claims. Provide quarterly management reports to Ford on emerging trends and offer recommendations for effectively managing identified trends/issues. Identify potential claims that warrant further review and/or objections. Answer employee inquiries on Ford’s pension and benefit programs. Explain Ford’s pension and benefit programs to employees, provide employees with pension and benefits program documents. Support pension and benefits onboarding and orientation for Ford’s new hires. Support Ford employees with pension and benefits enrollments, updates, beneficiary changes, dependent changes, coverage changes, life events and other items. Liaise with Ford Canadian Headquarters HR staff on pension and benefits programs. Other duties as assigned. What you will bring: Post Secondary degree or diploma in Claims Management preferred. A thorough understanding of WSIB Policy and Legislation. A good understanding of medical terminology and general return to work practices. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated experience in administrative support (at least five years preferably in a unionized environment). Ability to work in a fast paced, challenging environment. An understanding of accident costs. Experience in appeals representation would be an asset along with related education. Commitment to providing excellent customer service. Excellent organizational and time management skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and adjust to changing priorities and work deadlines. Ability to work as part of a team and independently. The base salary for this position is between $53,200.00 – $79,800.00 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation (i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
