Forensic Structural Engineer

Vancouver, Canada LVI Associates Full time

We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled forensic structural engineer to join our client's reputable engineering firm based in beautiful Vancouver, Canada. This is a permanent position offering the opportunity for growth within the company.

Responsibilities:

- Conducting site investigations and assessments of buildings after disasters such as earthquakes or fires
- Analyzing data collected from investigations and providing detailed reports outlining findings.
- Providing expert witness testimony when required
- Collaborating with other departments to develop strategies that prevent future accidents

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess the following qualifications:

1) A Bachelor's degree in Engineering with specialization in Civil/Structural Engineering
2) Minimum 5 years' experience working on in structural design and forensic structural engineering
3) Licensure through Engineers & Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC)
4 ) Proven track record conducting successful building code compliance audits


Skills:

In addition to possessing relevant qualifications above we require candidates who have expertise across some of these skills below;

1. Ability to make sound decisions under pressure while dealing effectively with conflicting priorities;
2. Excellent communication skill; both verbal and written; able explain complex technical information clearly ;
3 . Detail-oriented approach ; ability analyze large amounts of data accurately
4 . Strong problem-solving abilities


Salary:
The salary offered by our client will be CAD 120000 per annum depending upon qualification & Experience.
