OverviewA Capital Markets Consultant provides strategic guidance and technical expertise to optimize trading, investment, and risk management processes. This role involves advising on market trends, regulatory compliance, financial modeling, and advanced trading systems to enhance efficiency and profitability for financial institutions.ResponsibilitiesStrategic Development – Design and implement strategies for trading, investment banking, structured finance, and asset management.Market Advisory – Provide insights on market trends, financial instruments, liquidity strategies, and portfolio optimization.M&A Support – Assist in mergers, acquisitions, and capital-raising initiatives.Financial Product Expertise – Offer specialized knowledge in equities, fixed income, derivatives, structured products, and alternative investments.Trading Enhancements – Optimize electronic, algorithmic, and high-frequency trading (HFT) systems.Market-Making Optimization – Improve execution algorithms, market-making strategies, and liquidity management.Regulatory Compliance – Ensure adherence to Basel III, MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, EMIR, and SEC regulations.Risk Assessment – Evaluate market, credit, and operational risks in capital markets transactions.Regulatory Support – Assist with reporting, stress testing, and capital adequacy planning.Post-Trade Enhancements – Improve settlement systems and clearing mechanisms.Blockchain & Digital Assets Advisory – Provide guidance on blockchain technology, tokenization, and digital assets in capital markets.System Utilization – Work with trading platforms, Order Management Systems (OMS), and Execution Management Systems (EMS).Data & Analytics – Leverage AI, machine learning, and big data for predictive analytics and market insights.Financial Modeling – Conduct modeling, backtesting, and scenario analysis.Stakeholder Engagement – Collaborate with investment banks, hedge funds, asset managers, regulators, and fintech firms.Reporting & Presentations – Develop and present insights, reports, and proposals to senior executives.Key Skills & RequirementsRequiredCapital Markets (5+ years)Asset Management (AM)Fixed IncomeNice to HaveHigh-Frequency Trading (HFT)Basel III & Dodd-Frank ComplianceSettlement Systems & Post-Trade ProcessingLiquidity Management & Liquidity AnalysisEven if you don’t fully meet every requirement, we will still be open to review your application.
