Although we are a union affiliated organization, being an active member is not a pre-requisite.Job duties: Preparation of blasting plans, loading of and detonating blasts.Qualifications:Blasting experience around houses and urban settings is considered an asset.Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.Natural ability to solve problems, communicate clearly and effectively.Able to work flexible hours based on job requirements.Enjoy working outdoors in a fast-paced and challenging environment.Valid Canadian driver’s license, with a clean driving abstract.Experience working in the heavy civil construction industry.Must possess a BC Mines Blasting Ticket.Must possess a Work Safe BC Urban Blasting Ticket.Knowledge in blasting shearline and production techniques.Understanding of the Work Safe requirements for Blasting.Current TDG ticket.Emil Anderson offers competitive wages and benefits in addition to a challenging and fun work environment.
